How to delete or erase a SoftRAID volume

If you need to delete your SoftRAID volume, perform the following steps:
Note: An APFS volume can only be deleted, not erased

1) Launch the SoftRAID application
2) Click on the volumes tile for the volume you want to delete
3) In the volumes menu, select “Disable Safeguard” this will allow you do delete or erase the volume.
4) Select the volume tile again, and in in the volumes menu, select:

“Erase volume” — to erase the volume.
or
“Delete volume” -to delete the volume.

You will need to enter your admin password

When completed, your disks will have free (partition) space to create another volume.

Note: If your goal is to repurpose these disks, we recommend you also select the disks, “zero disk”, and select 100 sectors, or zero the entire disk to remove any valuable data from being recoverable.
