What happens to my SoftRAID volumes when I upgrade to a new Mac?

Nothing — your volumes and data are completely unaffected. Simply connect your enclosure to your new Mac or Windows computer, install SoftRAID, and everything will be right where you left it.

You can download SoftRAID here:

Transferring Your License

Your SoftRAID license needs to be activated on your new computer. If you still have access to your old Mac, deactivate your license there first — this frees up the seat for use on your new machine:

  • On your old Mac, go to SoftRAID menu → Deactivate SoftRAID License
  • Install SoftRAID on your new Mac
  • Enter your serial number and activate

If you no longer have access to your old Mac, you can remotely free up your license seat from the License Management page.

If you need an additional seat to run SoftRAID on multiple computers simultaneously, additional seats are available at a discount at the same link.
