RAID 6 Private Beta Program
We’re excited to announce a private beta program for our upcoming RAID 6 functionality for macOS. This is an exclusive opportunity to test cutting-edge RAID 6 features and help shape the final product.
What is RAID 6?
RAID 6 provides enterprise-level data protection by using dual parity across your drive array. Unlike RAID 5, RAID 6 can survive two simultaneous drive failures, making it ideal for larger arrays and mission-critical data storage.
We are looking for user that:
- Currently use or plan to use RAID 6 arrays
- Have compatible multi-drive enclosures
- Work with demanding applications (video editing, large media libraries, professional workflows)
- Can provide detailed feedback on performance and stability
- Comfortable testing pre-release software
What’s included in the beta program:
- Early access to SoftRAID RAID 6 for macOS
- Direct communication with our development team
- Opportunity to influence the final product
What we ask:
- Regular testing and feedback on your real-world workflows
- Report any issues or unexpected behavior
- Share system diagnostics if problems occur
- Participate in occasional surveys or brief check-ins
Time commitment:
- Flexible: use it as much or as little as fits your workflow
- Brief feedback surveys (5-10 minutes)
Application Process
Space is limited. Please complete the short form below. We’ll reach out to qualified applicants who match our beta testing needs.
• Important Note RAID 6 beta-test volumes are not compatible with current SoftRAID volumes. You can NOT use both existing SoftRAID volumes and new RAID 6 volumes on your computer. Mixing the beta test volumes with normal SoftRAID volumes can cause your volumes to become unmountable. You must separate the RAID 6 beta tests from your normal working volumes. This limitation is only in the beta test, the release version will not have this limitation.
