Jobs archive: historical list of previous offloads so you can review and keep track of tasks that have been completed.

Collision protection: prevents files from being overwritten with any other file that happens to have the same name, which is common with multicam setups or when using fresh memory cards in the same camera.

Error detection: if something happens during a transfer you are alerted that files may have not been copied correctly, allowing you to mitigate potential issues.

Automatic safe ejection: when a task is completed, Copy That will safely eject your media so that you don´t even have to think about that.

The Copy Process

Copying files from cameras, camera cards, and other storage media is a simple task. Select the files and in a few clicks or drag-and-drop your files to start offloading. But there are times when the simple copy process is not enough. Sometimes you need more – more speed, more destinations, more reporting, and more verification that the copy is not only completed but completed with an exact data match.

Copy That’s intuitive interface handles everything in the ingesting process. From performing quick copies from your cameras and storage devices to verified reporting letting you know the duplication process finished as expected.

Copy That streamlines the data offloads from a single or multiple memory cards to multiple destinations with automated presets and additional features designed to streamline your workflow and improve the reliability of your backups while offering a simplified user experience.

Check and Verify

Copying files quickly is great, but when you are moving a full day’s worth of footage or once-in-a-lifetime photos, data integrity isn’t a nice add-on – it is vital.

Copy That features robust checksum options that ensures your data is always copied correctly. The checksum process uses a small block of data to determine the integrity of copied files. It is used and sometimes required for many processes to ensure everything makes it from source to destination 100% as expected.

The Checksum Process

Copy That is built with industry standard checksum verification options including xxHash-64, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2 256, SHA-2 512, as well as other safeguard features like source integrity verification, automatic name collision detection, and smart error detection that would alert the user in case something goes wrong to ensure your copied files are intact.

Reporting

Once you have moved your media, you need to know exactly where it’s located at a moment’s notice. Copy That builds detailed reports (PDF, TXT, CSV), that include all relevant information such as naming, file status, checksum verification, start and finish dates, and more. Reports also include thumbnails so you can find the shot you need in seconds.

Copy That also creates MHL (Media Hash List) files for post verification, an XML formatted file, that catalogs the copy metadata without altering the source file. Media Hash Lists ensure that files can be verified at any given time to make sure your data is safe, and your backups are reliable.

Source changes: alerts you if a memory card that was inserted when the transfer was scheduled has been changed.

What are my options to purchase Copy That?

1-Year subscription

This option gives you access to all Copy That features for 1-year. After 1-year, the subscription will automatically renew at a discounted renewal rate. You can cancel your subscription at anytime. The 1-year time period starts when the software is activated.

30-day rental license

If you only need Copy That for a short time or a single project, we offer a 30-day license of the software. The 30-day license begins once the software is activated.

How is my software delivered?

When you purchase, the confirmation page will display your license information as well as a link to download the software. You will also receive a confirmation email with the download link and license information.

When does my subscription or 30-day license begin?

At the time of purchase you are billed for the first year of the license. After 1-year you will be automatically billed the renewal rate. Your subscription begins when you purchase the software. You can cancel anytime.

What happen when my 30-day license expires?

At then end of 30-days your license will automatically expire. You will no longer be able to use Copy That. You can purchase another 30-day license or move to 1-year license.

License Management

Can I move my license to another computer?

Yes. Your Copy That license can be activated and deactivated at anytime. To move your license you need to first deactivate it from your computer. You can do this by going to the Copy That menu option and select “Deactivate”. Once deactivated you can move your license to another computer and reactivate.

How do I deactivate my license?

You can deactivate your software throught the Copy That menu option or online via the OWC License Management page.
